Job Description

Excellent Tax Manager position with a multinational company headquartered in Ireland. This is a unique #1 in Tax position reporting to the Finance Director & will manage both Tax Planning & Compliance

Reporting the Finance Director, the role will work closely with the Head of Finance in ROI and UK, as well as operational and compliance teams. The mission here is to lead and manage company's tax planning and compliance with a particular focus on the design and implementation of the Group's international tax strategy.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Manage and co-ordinate the Group's compliance with domestic and international tax obligations including global mobility tax matters and transfer pricing.
  • Lead the design and implementation of the Group's international tax strategy to include matters such as profit repatriation, cross-border financing etc.
  • Support the design, implementation, and documentation of the Group's transfer pricing policies.
  • Further develop and successfully implement a standard operating procedure for overseas works in the international business unit.
  • Support the development of an internal tax team as business needs require.
  • Work closely with the Irish Head of Finance and the shared services manager to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll and other tax items.
  • Manage tax return process for the Group with external tax team ensuring tax payments are compliant in all regions.
  • Take responsibility for current and deferred tax accounting as part of the Group's internal and external reporting processes
  • Provide weekly, fortnightly, and monthly financial analysis on the implications of the Groups Transfer Pricing and Global Mobility processes and other key tax issues.

The Successful candidate will have

  • Minimum 5+ years tax experience.
  • CTA and preferably accounting qualification.
  • A big 4 background and exposure to international tax a significant advantage
  • Excellent attention to detail with a high degree of self-discipline
  • Problem solving skills with the ability to close out issues when they arise
  • A positive attitude and aptitude to learn and grow
  • Ambition and looking to progress into further roles
