Morgan McKinley are delighted to be partnering with a fantastic global company who are looking to hire a Global Mobility Tax Manager

Global Mobility Tax and International Payroll Manager

The purpose of the Global Mobility Tax and International Payroll Manager is to lead and manage the European payrolls and build and manage the processes and controls around the European payrolls, global mobility program and employment tax compliance. This role is to join an established Payroll/Finance & Accounting team in Ireland and will be supported by our team of accountants as well as a European Tax Accountant (Global Mobility) and three European payroll specialists along with the wider HR compliance team.


Supported by the project team, you will be responsible for the execution of:

  • Leading/Managing European payrolls across various international countries including with assistance from our outsourced providers
  • Prepare and review costings for non-Irish jurisdictions (including net to gross calculations)
  • Collaboratively working on the structuring of remuneration packages and the related tax planning considerations
  • Ensure governance and compliance in both Ireland and overseas jurisdictions in particular with respect to country specific requirements around employment tax, social security and immigration/employment law completing various ad hoc projects
  • Remain up to date with tax, compliance and social security developments and reliefs in the various European jurisdictions
  • Assist with and become a trusted advisor with regards to Employee income tax returns in the various European jurisdictions
  • Liaise with outsourced payroll and tax providers
  • Ensure monthly payrolls are paid and filed on time
  • Develop payroll, tax and relocation processes, systems and controls to automate and scale as the business grows
  • Assist with Onboarding new territories/service providers
  • Liaising with Stakeholders including HR compliance, talent acquisition, payroll and finance teams
  • Developing and managing the Irish and overseas pensions and insurance schemes
  • Some limited site visits/travel may be required (within Ireland/across Europe)


  • Experience within real time credits / PAYE exclusion orders
  • Qualified Accountant or Tax Consultant (i.e. ACA, CTA, ACCA, CPA qualification or equivalent) with a least 3-5 years PQE
  • Background in practice or industry (big 6 training an advantage)
  • High personal motivation, self-starter with proven ability to work on own initiative / independently
  • Demonstrate excellent planning, organisational and administrative skills
  • Experience developing, documenting and improving processes and controls
  • Any experience with Employment Taxes, Global Mobility and/or International Payroll and/or working with various different jurisdictions across Europe and advantage
