Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Dev Ops Engineer to work with a leading retail and ecommerce client, working with high-volume real-time trading applications and mission critical websites.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Dev Ops Engineer to work with a leading retail and ecommerce client, working with high-volume real-time trading applications and mission critical websites.

You will be providing support, maintenance and improvement plans for complex IT Systems and applications. Building, developing continuous improvement and problem solving. This person will report into the Team Lead and get to work with technologies including .Net, Dev Ops, CI/CD, SQL, Azure and MVC in an agile remote work environment.

What you will be doing:

  • Provide Level 2 support for company systems and applications using a variety of tools and frameworks
  • Identify performance improvements and work through to completion where appropriate
  • Security and PCI related activities
  • Builds / Deployments
  • Source control management & maintenance
  • Continuous Integration / Delivery pipeline evolution and improvements
  • Continuous monitoring of systems and applications
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues
  • Perform root cause analysis for production errors
  • Process automation and streamlining

What you will need:

  • 5+ years experience in a .NET development / DevOps environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working within a CI / CD environment.
  • SQL: Experience with MS SQL Server and Oracle.
  • Source Control: TFS / Azure DevOps / git.
  • Exposure and ability to understand / work with C++, Java, VB.
  • IIS Configuration.
  • Windows Server management.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Highly motivated and customer focused.
  • Successful applicant may be required to carry a company phone on a rota basis to provide out of hours escalation support.

Working remote, with offices in Ireland, Northern Ireland, Gibraltar, you will be responsible for support of core applications, software and assist technical questions while offering product support to other areas of the business where applicable.
