Job Description

A Civil Engineer is required to join one our of clients on a full time basis. You will be working on power projects that will be delivering new technologies across the nation.

Job Type: Perm
Location: Central Dublin
Salary: Competitive (DOE)

As a Civils Engineer, you will play an active role in project management of a multi-disciplined project by managing the planning, scheduling, and controlling processes, including all deliverables for monthly reporting to senior management.

Duties:

  • Surveying the site - Setting out, levelling, as-built and topographic surveys
  • Setting out positions and levels of roads, drainage, steel structures, concrete walls and foundations
  • Checking plans, drawings and setting out control, to ensure construction of work in accordance with the contract specification
  • Assisting the QS with quantities and project progress
  • Communicate with the site teams to ensure the full understanding of information is provided
  • Ability to work as a team and maintain client relations
  • Having a proactive approach to resolving any unexpected technical difficulties
  • Delivery of a safe project for everyone on site, enforcing all safety rules of the site
  • Conduct daily briefings as required follow up and report on the work progress in order to anticipate any possible delays with regards to planned tasks
  • Provide all technical support for civils operations
  • Production of Civil Engineering work packages relating to medium to large development projects from initial concept through to completion
  • Work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects
  • Represent the company at external meetings with clients, contractors, and fellow professionals
  • Be responsible for delivering work to a fee and to timescales agreed with a Project Manager
  • Implement procedures to monitor the project and manage project risk
  • Work with the project team to develop the project schedule

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years experience
  • Strong technical background
  • Delivery of complex projects
  • Degree in Civil engineering or equivalent
