Job Description

Our client a leading multinational is seeking to hire an Associate Director Warehousing & Logistics to join their team based in Cork.

Associate Director Warehouse & Logistics - Cork

 

The role includes ownership of the onsite warehouse storage areas & equipment and all offsite storage areas managed by their Logistics Service provider. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a Senior Management position within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector.

 

THE ROLE:

 

• Manage the on site warehouse & logistics operation including the performance of contract logistics service provider
• Manage the relationship & performance of the 3rd party Logistics Service Provider
• Manage a team (4) of Warehousing & Logistics Subject Matter experts
• Responsible for ensuring that all activities in the warehouse and material storage areas are carried out in accordance with Safety, GMP and Environmental procedures
• Responsible for ensuring all Quality & Safety observations are progressed by the team and effective CAPAs identified
• Proactive engagement with supply chain & LSP to ensure site needs are supported: goods receipt, kits & Kanban, material flow between onsite & offsite & efficient capacity utilization,
• Liaise cross functionally with team SME's to identify new business processes improvements
• Owner of training plans for contract operators and engaging with LSP supervisors to ensure training compliance is maintained
• Owner of Service Level Agreements and functional KPIs
• Lead internal & external audits within the warehouse area and ensure area & operators are audit ready
• Support and embed productivity improvements by identifying and eliminating inefficiencies

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

• Third level qualification or equivalent education with 5+ years supply chain / Logistics / quality experience
• Strong Logistics & warehousing background including a detailed understanding of both ambient and cold chain shipping & storage
• SAP experience in a complex manufacturing environment
• API manufacturing experience and New Product introduction knowledge is preferable
