Job Description

A leading Pharmaceutical distribution Company base in Shannon currently have an exciting permanent opportunity for an individual to join as a Warehouse Manager.

As the Warehouse Manager, the successful individual will be managing logistics and warehousing from goods-in to dispatch.

Previous experience in managing a warehouse facility, ideally within the Pharma Manufacturing & distribution industry and knowledge of warehouse principles is desired for the role. The position of Warehouse Manager is a permanent contract reporting to the Planning and Logistics Manager, with a very strong emphasis on Inventory accuracy, compliance and documentation.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Ensure all health and safety procedures are carried out and the warehouse is managed in a zero-accident environment.
  • Work closely with other departments in order to satisfy production requirements.
  • Manage, lead and supervise the stores team, offering good mentorship.
  • Maintain the stores environment to provide suitable storage for components and maintain high levels of traceability.
  • Implement new processes and procedures to ensure optimal performance at the warehouse.
  • Drive optimisation and efficiency of KPI's.
  • Liaise with sales and logistics to dispatch accurately and on time.

Experience and Knowledge:

The successful individual should ideally have 5 years' experience in a previous Warehouse Managing role, ideally within the pharma industry. Relevant qualifications and completed courses to the job would also be beneficial.

  • Demonstrate a positive attitude towards work.
  • Self-motivated individual.
  • Excellent IT Skills - and knowledge of SAP would be a distinct advantage
  • Demonstrate aptitude for process improvement
