About the Client
Our client is a premier global investment bank and financial services leader, renowned for its cutting-edge technology and sophisticated trading platforms. To support on the current operation, they are looking for a Java Developer.
It would be a 12 months extendable contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of high-concurrency, low-latency backend services that power global trading systems and real-time financial data processing.
- Design and implement scalable microservices architectures to support multi-asset class platforms and complex risk management engines.
- Optimize system performance and stability to handle massive daily transaction volumes while maintaining 99.99% uptime.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams to modernize legacy frameworks into cloud-native environments and distributed systems.
- Build and govern secure, high-performance APIs (REST/gRPC) that adhere to strict international financial regulatory and security standards.
- Drive engineering excellence through automated testing, performance profiling, and sophisticated CI/CD pipelines in a DevOps-driven culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline from a reputable university.
- Minimum of 3-6 years of experience in backend development, ideally within investment banking, fintech, or high-growth technology firms.
- Expert proficiency in at least one core enterprise language, such as Java (Spring Boot)
- Strong hands-on experience with distributed systems, multi-threading, and messaging middleware like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Deep understanding of database design and optimization, including both relational (PostgreSQL/DB2) and NoSQL (MongoDB/Redis) technologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-critical production
