About the role
The Senior Sustainability Manager will lead the brand's environmental strategy with a strong focus on Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions across the value chain. The role is responsible for designing and executing environmental programs, setting clear sustainability goals, and embedding them into day-to-day operations in partnership with cross‑functional teams.
Key responsibilities
Develop and implement environmental sustainability programs with a primary focus on Scope 3 emissions (materials, manufacturing, logistics, use phase and end-of-life of products) in line with the brand's climate and ESG commitments.
Formulate medium‑ and long‑term sustainability goals for the apparel business, including science‑based targets, resource efficiency, circularity and waste reduction objectives.
Define, track and continuously improve KPIs (e.g. emissions intensity, preferred materials share, supplier performance scores, waste and water reduction) and prepare regular management reports and dashboards.
Work closely with sourcing, production, logistics, product and retail teams to integrate environmental criteria into supplier selection, product development and supply chain planning.
Engage and manage suppliers to collect data, drive improvement programs and ensure alignment with the company's environmental standards and code of conduct.
Lead internal training and change‑management initiatives to build sustainability awareness and drive effective execution across teams and regions.
Stay abreast of regulatory developments and industry best practices in apparel sustainability, climate reporting and supply chain due diligence, and translate them into pragmatic internal requirements.
Required experience and skills
Bachelor's degree in environmental science, sustainability, supply chain, engineering, or related discipline; a relevant master's degree is an advantage.
Proven experience (typically 6-10 years) in supply chain management or corporate sustainability, preferably within the apparel, textiles or consumer goods sectors.
Demonstrated track record in developing and executing environmental or climate programs, including Scope 3 measurement and reduction initiatives.
Strong execution skills with the ability to translate strategy into clear roadmaps, prioritize effectively and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment.
Solid people leadership experience, including leading cross‑functional project teams and influencing senior and external stakeholders.
Excellent analytical skills and familiarity with environmental data, lifecycle thinking and KPI management; experience with GHG accounting tools or ESG reporting standards is a plus.
Strong communication skills in written and spoken English; additional Asian languages are an advantage for supplier engagement in the region.
