About the job
- Lead teams of Unix/Linux (AIX, Solaris, Red Hat), Middleware, and DBA specialists to ensure stable, secure, and optimal operations across the bank's core infrastructure.
- Oversee end-to-end provisioning, performance tuning, and backup/recovery strategies for enterprise databases (Oracle RAC, DB2, MSSQL) and Unix environments.
- Maintain robust backup jobs, disaster recovery failover procedures, and lead the technical execution during annual DR drills.
- Conduct semi-annual user account reviews and System Acceptance Testing (SAT); maintain audit-ready documentation and deliver performance reporting.
- Manage SNMP integration for real-time monitoring and generate annual capacity planning reports based on system utilization trends and growth projections.
- Lead high-priority incident root-cause analysis (RCA), coordinate infrastructure/network deployment changes, and manage vendor lifecycles and End-of-Support (EOS) upgrades.
- Contribute to annual budget planning and resource allocation for core infrastructure services and hardware/software procurement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science.
- with at least 10 years of hands-on experience in Unix/Linux and Database administration, with a proven track record leading technical teams
- Advanced proficiency in AIX, Solaris, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Middleware resources, and enterprise databases (Oracle RAC, DB2, MSSQL).
- Strong expertise in disaster recovery execution, backup strategies, user access reviews, and audit/compliance governance.
- Demonstrated experience in capacity planning, system performance analysis, EOS upgrades, and vendor procurement/coordination.
- Exceptional leadership, analytical troubleshooting, and communication skills, with a detail-oriented approach to prioritization and cross-functional team collaboration.
