As a Senior Design Manager for Lingerie & Swimwear, you will lead the design and development of seasonal lingerie and swimwear collections from concept to final product. You will be responsible for driving innovation, trend research, and ensuring that all designs align with brand identity and market demands. This role requires close collaboration with merchandising, production, and marketing teams to deliver commercially successful and fashion-forward collections.
Lead the full design process including concept creation, trend research, product development, and collection planning for lingerie and swimwear.
Develop mood boards, color palettes, sketches, and technical specifications.
Collaborate with garment technicians and production teams to ensure fit, comfort, and quality standards.
Source fabrics, trims, and materials balancing aesthetics, durability, and cost.
Conduct fittings and oversee sampling to guarantee perfect fit and finish.
Manage multiple projects ensuring adherence to budgets and production timelines.
Stay updated on market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies in lingerie and swimwear.
Promote sustainable design practices and incorporate eco-friendly materials where possible.
Present design concepts and collections to internal stakeholders and key customers.
Mentor and guide junior designers and coordinate cross-functional team efforts.
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field.
10+ years of experience in lingerie and/or swimwear design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and CAD software.
Deep knowledge of garment construction, fabric properties, and fit specific to lingerie and swimwear.
Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Passion for intimate apparel design and understanding of brand positioning.
Experience working with international clients and understanding of global market trends is a plus.
