Digital Banking - UAT Tester (IANG - Top Talent Visa needed)

Responsibilities

• Test Execution & Planning: Design, write, and execute end-to-end (E2E) functional, integration, regression, and UAT test cases for mobile (iOS/Android) and web banking applications.

• Defect Management: Identify, log, prioritize, and track bugs using tools like Jira; collaborate with software engineers and product managers to ensure timely resolutions.

• Banking Domain Testing: Validate critical digital banking journeys, including account opening (eKYC), fast payments (FPS/RTGS), fund transfers, cross-border payments, wealth management, and security authentication (2FA/biometrics).

• API & System Integration: Conduct API testing (Postman, SoapUI) and verify back-end integrations between front-end channels and core banking systems.

• Agile Collaboration: Participate actively in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings in an Agile/Scrum environment.

• Localization & Cross-Regional Support: Review UI/UX copy, error messages, and customer-facing flows in Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and English to guarantee accurate terminology and regional compliance.

Technical & Professional Qualifications

• Experience: 2-4 years of software testing or QA experience, ideally within digital banking, FinTech, payments, or financial services.

• Methodologies & Tools: Strong familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes and bug-tracking suites (Jira, Confluence, TestRail).

• Testing Capabilities:

  • Proven track record in web and mobile app testing.

  • Hands-on experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST APIs).

  • Basic knowledge of test automation frameworks (Selenium, Appium, Cypress) is a distinct advantage.

• Compliance & Domain Knowledge: Understanding of Hong Kong digital banking standards (e.g., HKMA guidelines, eKYC requirements, FPS integration) is highly preferred.

Language & Communication Requirements

• Mandarin: Native proficiency (spoken and written) - required for frequent communication with mainland dev/product partners and technical documentation.

• Cantonese: Professional fluency (spoken and written) - required for daily local team collaboration in the Wan Chai office and localized user testing.

• English: Working proficiency for reading technical specs, system logs, and writing test reports.
