Responsibilities
1. Financial Strategy and Planning:
Develop and implement the company's financial strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives and growth plans.
Lead long-term financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
Conduct financial analysis, scenario modeling, and cost-benefit analysis to support strategic decision-making (e.g., new product development, market expansion, M&A).
Advise the CEO on financial implications of business strategies and initiatives.
2. Financial Management and Operations:
Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and treasury functions.
Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (e.g., income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement).
Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital effectively to ensure optimal financial resources.
Oversee debt and asset management, including financial investments and physical assets.
Develop and implement robust internal financial controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
Manage and optimize relationships with banks, financial institutions, auditors, and other external stakeholders.
3. Risk Management and Compliance:
Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks (e.g., market risk, credit risk, operational risk).
Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations, accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) and tax laws.
Develop and maintain a strong risk management framework and internal control environment.
Oversee the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
4. Leadership and Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team.
Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement within the finance function.
Collaborate effectively with other C-suite executives and department heads to drive cross-functional initiatives and achieve organizational goals.
Promote financial literacy and responsible financial practices across the organization.
5. Technology and Digital Transformation:
Leverage financial technology (FinTech) and data analytics to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and insights in financial operations and reporting.
Drive digital transformation initiatives within the finance function to streamline processes and improve decision-making.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree highly preferred.
Professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or equivalent are often required or highly desirable.
Extensive experience in senior financial leadership roles, with a proven track record of success in managing complex financial operations and contributing to strategic growth.
Excellent command of English.
