Job Description

Our client is looking for a Senior Master Data Professional to join there team to enhance and manage the product lifecycle and master data on a global scale

Project Background

  • Our client is undertaking a project aimed at synchronizing and enhancing the management of product lifecycle and master data on a global scale. As a result of this initiative, the project will establish effective mechanisms, streamlined processes, system integration, and organizational capabilities that can proficiently oversee crucial product data in the foreseeable future. This role plays a pivotal part in fulfilling our project commitments and will subsequently transition into overseeing regular business operations.
  • Within the project framework, the Global Master Data Steward assumes ownership of the project's data workstream. This involves close collaboration with the Project PLM Lead, SAP MDG (Master Data Governance) Lead, and other stakeholders, including Regulatory Data Leads. Together, these efforts are geared towards successfully achieving the project's overarching goals and objectives.

Contractor Duties:

  • Ability to analyse current state of master data and craft, in alignment to stakeholders and corporate needs, a go-forward strategy (including identification of team structure)
  • Support the project Global Roll plan and execution by being accountable for defining the data migration policy/ cutover approach, co-ordinating execution of the data migration and defining methods/ standards for data verification
  • Solves complex problems involving data requirements, architecture, and strategy decisions and enacts a fresh opinion on existing solutions.
  • Maintain quality of the data using customer feedback, concerns, questions; internally reporting metrics; evaluating and identifying issues; and coordinating and implementing corrections regularly.
  • Define methods, standards and perform data validation testing and periodic audit for data quality
  • Advocate and thought leader of data, educating employees and keeping a pulse on new best practices and technology
  • Ensure compliance and security of the data. Data stewards are responsible for protecting the data-while providing information on potential risks and offering regulatory guidance.
  • Drives global process standardisation

Skills Required

  • Bachelor Degree or Master's degree in a relevant discipline
  • 5+ years experience in a highly regulated environment.
  • Project Management or Six Sigma qualification preferred
  • The ideal candidate will have prior experience in leading data operations in a fast-paced work environment with strong analytical ability.
  • Must have led and implemented a global data migration process.
  • Experience dealing with complex data relationships and effectively communicating across a diverse team.
  • Awareness/ understanding of product lifecycle management (PLM) and the interconnectedness of data flows to/from an ERP system (SAP) in the context of Supply chain, Manufacturing, Quality
  • Understanding of Design Control, Change Control, Product Life Cycle Management, Sustaining Changes and manufacturing transfers, including experience of cost savings and product / process improvement.

  • Strong organisational skills with cultural awareness and sensitivity
