Job Description

Our Client one of the leaders in the Biotechnology industry are seeking a highly skilled Planning and Scheduling Specialist to join their team on a 12 month contract basis.

You will develop and implement planning, reporting, and analytical tools, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of plan versus actual outcomes. This role involves chairing weekly planning and scheduling focus meetings and maintaining compliance with all current IOPS CGX standards, including Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation Practices.







Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Tools: Create and maintain planning, reporting, and analytical tools tailored for the Tech Apps Organization.
  • Weekly Meetings: Chair weekly planning and scheduling focus meetings to ensure alignment and progress tracking.
  • Data Management: Group and sort large data sets into executable packages of work; level load and resource planned work fronts.
  • Schedule Management: Highlight scheduling issues and constraints, propose potential mitigations, and summarize detailed schedules for various audiences.
  • KPIs and Reporting: Establish, track, and report KPIs routinely for the specific function.
  • Cross-Functional Engagement: Interact with cross-functional groups for schedule development and forward planning; conduct schedule workshops as needed.
  • Maintenance and Compliance: Maintain the physical condition and environment of all areas and equipment to safe, clean, and compliant standards. Ensure adherence to all relevant IOPS SOPs and required trainings.
  • Leadership and Knowledge Sharing: Lead by example and share knowledge and experience within the team.
  • Project Management: Produce micro schedules and high-level timelines to focus on delivery aspects within projects; manage any other projects as assigned by the supervisor.



Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a scientific field, or a relevant trade qualification.
    • Relevant experience may substitute for the educational requirement.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years in a similar position.
    • Proven experience in planning and scheduling within a technical or manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, including MS Project.
    • Knowledge and experience with Oracle Primavera.
  • Competencies:
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage and manipulate large data sets.
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to create clear, tangible work plans.
    • Effective communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams and tailor messages for specific audiences.
    • Ability to maintain inspection readiness and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation Practices.
