Our Client a leading provider of filtration solutions, who design and manufacture filtration and separation equipment for industries from Oil & Gas, Power, Chemical and they are looking for an Experienced Supply Chain Manager to join the team in Killarney on a Permanent basis.

Job Summary

A key member of the Global Supply Chain team, the Supply Chain Manager, Aftermarket will be responsible and accountable for ensuring effective processes are in place to have materials available to satisfy manufacturing and customer requirements on-time, and within market expected lead times, while optimizing inventory and cost.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leading a global team comprising sourcing, buying and planning for the aftermarket value stream.
  • Responsible for coordinating all aspects of material flow and parts delivery within the organisation
  • Delivering a strategic supply chain complete with product appropriate procurement strategies.
  • Develop and manage the Sales & Operating Planning (S&OP) process for all aftermarket operations.
  • Create, maintain and execute material logistic strategies to manage inventory and control excess and obsolete materials.
  • Foster, develop maintain strong, positive working relationships with suppliers, customers, the leadership team, and employees.
  • Responsible for contract management in relation to all aftermarket materials
  • Developing and maintaining strategic supplier long term framework agreements to promote collaboration and value in the supply chain.
  • Review routinely practices to assure that staff are procuring and utilizing appropriate contracts
  • Deliver supply chain value by maximizing price savings, rebates, and extended vendor payment terms
  • Ensure employee safety is a primary concern in the selection of goods and services
  • Develop most suitable purchasing arrangement for commodities, including blanket contracts, standing orders and vendor stocking arrangements
  • Lead the standardization of supplies and equipment within the organisation
  • Lead the resolution of equipment and supply quality and service problems with vendors.
  • Give consideration to environmental concerns in the selection of supplies and equipment .
  • Coordinate the reconciliation process for invoices with the Accounts Payable department when price and quantities do not agree with the purchase order.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual departmental operating and capital budgets; operates each function within the approved budget
  • Coach, lead, and develop teams and members to ensure organisational goals and objectives are met.
  • Establishing and maintaining best practice and processes in accordance with ISO9001. 3.0 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, and ability to develop strategic supplier relationships.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Financial skills including cost modelling, cost analysis, make versus. buy analysis. Ability to coach, develop and motivate a team
  • Maintain and provide current understanding of industry best practices and technology trends.
  • Identify tools, processes, and metrics to optimise supplier value

Education and Experience

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, business, management or other related discipline.
  • Depth of knowledge and experience in strategic and tactical procurement and S&OP processes.
  • Strong contract law experience, project management skills, macro-economic awareness and accomplished business acumen
  • Strong background in the management of materials and sourcing within industrial manufacturing.
  • Experience in total quality, lean, six sigma, or other similar environments.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of ERP/MRP systems and their use in a manufacturing.
