Your Role:

The IT Demand & Portfolio analyst role will be pivotal in enabling more effective planning and prioritisation of change initiatives as they impact on the Group Technology function.

It is responsible for analysis and reporting on IT resource demand and supply as well as advising on scheduling opportunities for new initiatives.

The role holder will also be involved in the design and implementation of supporting processes, tools and governance to manage our capacity and demand.

The role will also support reporting on the performance of the IT change portfolio, both local and strategic, to relevant forums.

Your Team:

Reporting to the IT Portfolio & Demand Senior Manager, you will work closely with the IT Strategic Technology Change Team and relevant stakeholders across Group Technology and the Bank.

Your Responsibilities:

System Administrator:

  • Administration ownership for our IT resource management system.
  • Ensure access control, management and configuration for all required users/projects/portfolios.
  • Ensure data continuity as well as being responsible for all reporting on the tool to produce a consistent current and forward facing view of the IT resource allocation.

Guidance:

  • Provide support and guidance to teams and managers in using the resource management tool for BAU processes.

Portfolio & Demand Management:

  • Provide support to ensure that changes are properly documented, tested, and implemented, adhering to organisational policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the monitoring and reporting on portfolio of local change.
  • Co-ordinate the utilisation of prioritisation, approval and change control of local change.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Develop and cultivate strategic, long-term stakeholder relationships with business owners, IT teams, vendors, and external partners.
  • Facilitate collaboration, and maintain alignment between project objectives and organisational goals.

Communication and Reporting:

  • Own the reporting elements of the resource management tool, utilising dashboards to provide up to date information.
  • Support the team in preparing and updating project status reports and presentations for relevant stakeholders.
  • Facilitate effective communication among team members and cross functional stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are well informed.
  • Collation, analysis and monitoring of relevant IT change data and MI for relevant forums.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Proactively identify opportunities to simplify workflows and implement best practices to enhance project management methodologies, tools, and techniques within the IT change management.

Requirements:

Essential

  • 5 + years in a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving experience.
  • Excellent data gathering, analysis and presentation skills (advanced level Excel / PowerPoint skills).
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Lean / Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.

Desired

  • Working knowledge of Jira.
  • Knowledge of ITIL and change management best practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Background in Financial Services.
