Are you ready to embark on a journey that combines meticulous planning, international collaboration, and regulatory excellence? As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of licensed pharmaceutical products across global markets, all while upholding the highest standards of compliance with cGMPs and US FDA regulations.
Reporting directly to the Planning and Inventory Supervisor, you'll navigate the intricate landscape of pharmaceutical supply chain management, working with suppliers spanning Europe, Asia, China, and North America. Your mission? To orchestrate inventory strategies, optimize transportation routes, and maintain unwavering supplier relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Inventory Management: Develop and adjust inventory plans in line with commercial strategies.
- Optimized Shipping: Determine optimal shipping methods, reducing air transport and monitoring reasons for its use.
- Supplier Relations: Cultivate positive relationships to ensure consistent inventory and prevent disruptions.
- Delivery Monitoring: Weekly supplier delivery tracking, maintaining schedules in systems, and addressing issues.
- Delivery Coordination: Manage supplier delivery dates, recording changes and ensuring accuracy.
- Data Management: Maintain precise data in planning systems (SQL, SAP, IBP) including orders and updates.
- Forecasting: Provide timely monthly forecasts to suppliers, explaining changes as necessary.
- Supply Analytics: Perform suppliers' MRPs, generate global inventory reports, and gain deep product and supplier insights.
- Performance Improvement: Collaborate with Logistics Manager for effective processes and communication.
- Quality Compliance: Uphold quality processes, track supplier performance, and issue timely purchase orders.
Education/Training:
Educated to degree level in a business / supply chain related discipline. IIPMM/APIC qualification is desirable. A thorough knowledge of MRP and inventory management is a pre-requisite. Experience in the use of ERP systems, preferably SAP.
Good working knowledge of Excel (intermediate / advanced level) is essential.
Knowledge and Skills:
- 5 years experience in a similar type of role within a multinational organization. Experience of working in a quality regulated manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
- Has an understanding of FDA regulatory requirements in relation to Supply Chain.
Additional Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of planning and scheduling activities processes, including ERP systems such as SAP.
- Ability to multitask, understand the priority and to make recommendations to management based on knowledge and judgement. Ability to influence others, i.e., suppliers to deliver the highest standards.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to work on problems where analysis requires in-depth evaluation of various factors.
- Communicates clearly, concisely and effectively and listens and responds in an appropriate manner.
- Exercises judgement within broadly defined practices and policies in the evaluation of problems and obtaining solutions.
- Generates innovative approaches and new or improved solutions that help create value within the supply chain process.
- Demonstrates understanding of customer needs/requirements, consistent with organization priorities.
- Ability to adapt behaviour and approaches in dealing with situations and people.
- Understands how the customs and beliefs of various groups or cultures can affect performance and communication.
