Job Description

Our Client one of the world leaders in the Medical Devices Industry are seeking a highly motivated Sourcing Specialist to lead the comprehensive execution of sourcing activities for Indirect Goods and Services,

You will be instrumental in delivering superior customer service to their businesses, sites, and regions, while reporting directly to the Regional Sourcing Manager. This role demands a proactive approach in driving strategic sourcing initiatives and establishing innovative vendor partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end sourcing events, including price negotiations, vendor quote tracking, supplier selection, and contract review and approval.
  • Develop and implement long-term strategic sourcing plans that foster innovative sourcing solutions and robust contracts.
  • Facilitate stakeholder identification and engagement, ensuring their input is integrated throughout the sourcing process.
  • Collaborate with Sourcing Managers to support strategic planning and execution of sourcing projects.
  • Establish requirements for data analysis, sourcing information, and channel setup to ensure timely information delivery.
  • Coordinate the analysis of internal and external data and provide e-sourcing support.
  • Conduct thorough supplier analysis, including financial assessments and capability evaluations.
  • Lead supplier performance development activities and management reviews.
  • Manage end-to-end sourcing projects for less complex categories, in alignment with the Global Manager Sourcing.
  • Partner with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure the procurement of goods and services at optimal prices while maintaining quality standards.
  • Prepare comprehensive sourcing event documentation, including requirements, specifications, and inputs.
  • Analyze spending patterns and recommend cost and process improvements.
  • Achieve annual cost savings and value contribution targets.
  • Negotiate favorable payment terms and maintain open communication with suppliers.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in finance or purchasing.
  • Strong understanding of best practices in sourcing and procurement.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple project types simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated effective negotiation skills and a customer service orientation.
  • Working knowledge of sourcing practices.
  • Proficiency in SAP and MS Excel/PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in contracts management.
  • Advanced user of SAP/Ariba.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Knowledge or experience in the Medical Device Industry is a significant advantage.
