Job Description

We are working with one of Irelands leading M&E Contractors and they are looking to make a key hire for their team in the Cork area

We are working with a leading Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) engineering company based in Cork. With a rich history of delivering high-quality projects across various industries, we are dedicated to innovation, excellence, and sustainability. We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in construction to join their dynamic team.

 

Position Overview:

As a Mechanical Engineer with Construction Experience you will play a pivotal role in our M&E projects, ensuring the successful design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems within the construction industry. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting and challenging projects while contributing your expertise to the team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the engineering and project management teams to design and develop mechanical systems for construction projects.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses to determine the most efficient and cost-effective solutions.
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings and specifications for mechanical systems.
  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of mechanical systems on construction sites, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues that may arise during the construction phase.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer with a focus on construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Prior experience in M&E engineering in Ireland is essential.
