Job Description

Our Client one of the World Leaders in the Lens Manufacturing Industry is looking for a Master Scheduler to join the team on a permanent basis, based in Cork

Role Overview:

The Senior Planner is responsible for harmonizing demand and supply both at the overall volume level and the detailed mix level. This position will lead the site's LE process, monitoring manufacturing outputs against the Net Requirements (NRP).

Key Responsibilities:

  • LE Process Ownership: Lead and manage the site's LE process, ensuring alignment with NRP.
  • Capacity Management: Analyze site capacity versus NRP, collaborating with cross-functional teams to address gaps.
  • Data Reconciliation: Resolve month-to-month discrepancies and inaccuracies in hours and units.
  • Reporting Accuracy: Maintain and update various reporting systems to ensure accurate and timely documentation (e.g., Monthly HBO projection, Supply metrics, MPS).
  • Process Improvement: Identify and lead initiatives to enhance the Site LE process.
  • Critical Planning Processes: Utilize robust planning methods defined by the Centre of Excellence, collaborating across functions to execute key processes.
  • Forecasting: Manage the Consensus forecast project C+5.
  • Cross-Functional Interaction: Coordinate with Data Analytics, PP&L, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Planning teams.
  • Supply Review: Prepare updates for global supply chain gaps and present them during Executive and Global Supply Reviews.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory projections, processes, and submissions.
  • Project Involvement: Participate in LT reduction initiatives (WIP) and lead site RCCP reviews.
  • Monthly SRM Review: Effectively facilitate SRM review meetings and communicate findings to Leadership.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to current regulatory standards and guidelines (Quality, EHS, Financial).
  • Process Evaluation: Support the assessment and improvement of current processes, working with the global PP&L team.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • APICS Certification

Experience and Skills:

  • Proven leadership abilities with cross-functional collaboration experience.
  • Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and influencing abilities across stakeholders, customers, colleagues, and vendors.
  • Experienced in ERP/Planning Systems, capable of executing tasks within an ERP System.
  • Understanding of cycle time, throughput, labor efficiency, and related production planning concepts.
  • Advanced data reporting and analytical skills, particularly with MS-Excel or equivalent tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and a talent for planning.
  • Continuous process improvement mindset.
  • Relevant certification in supply chain, project management, or business management.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Green Belt Six Sigma certification (Preferred)
