Morgan McKinley, Northern Home Counties are delighted to be working with a growing organisation in the process of transitioning to a new finance system. Based in Warwickshire, they are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis for 3 months.
Reporting to the Group Financial Accountant, this is a highly varied and hands-on role suited to someone adaptable, proactive, and ready to provide broad support across the finance function.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable transactions, including coding, matching, and posting of supplier invoices
- Raise occasional sales invoices as required
- Assist with the setup of multiple new bank accounts across the group, including completion of relevant forms and documentation
- Support the team with admin tasks and general day-to-day finance operations
- Play an active role in testing the new accounts system (Microsoft Business Central)
- Assist with the transfer of financial data from Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, and Pegasus Opera as part of a system migration
- Provide ad-hoc support across the finance function, stepping in where needed to reduce pressure on the team
- Work closely with the Finance Lead to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks
Person Specification:
- Previous experience in a finance support role, ideally covering accounts payable, invoicing, and admin
- Confident, reliable, and self-sufficient - able to pick up tasks with minimal supervision
- Comfortable using multiple finance systems and open to learning new platforms
- A practical, hands-on attitude and a team-first approach
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
