An exciting opportunity to join a leading Big 4 Deal Advisory Tax team, supporting both corporate and financial investors on high-profile transactions across the UK and internationally. Opportunities are available at Assistant Manager, Manager, Senior Manager, and Director grades, offering clear progression and exposure to a wide range of complex and strategic deals.
This national and connected team specialises in advising clients across key markets including Corporates, Private Equity & Credit, Real Estate, and Energy & Infrastructure. You'll work with FTSE 100 and 250 organisations, multinational groups, private equity funds, infrastructure investors, and sovereign wealth funds on deals ranging from £10m to more than £10bn.
The team advises across the full deal lifecycle buy-side due diligence, structuring, vendor assist, vendor due diligence, refinancing, and listing support-offering a highly varied, intellectually challenging, and commercially focused role.
What you'll be doing:
- Collaborate with Partners and Directors to deliver expert advice on complex, high-value transactions.
- Support business development initiatives contributing to proposals, pitches, and client presentations.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, legal advisors, and internal stakeholders, ensuring seamless project delivery.
- Develop trusted client relationships and contribute to growing accounts and wider market presence.
- Lead, coach, and mentor junior team members, supporting their technical and professional development.
- Prepare or oversee detailed technical advice on a wide range of UK and international tax issues.
- Analyse transaction data and legal documentation, highlighting key risks, opportunities, and commercial impact.
- Collaborate with UK and international tax specialists, challenging and integrating their insights.
- Demonstrate strong technical knowledge, including an understanding of OECD guidance and UK tax developments.
- Provide input into thought leadership, strategy, and wider Deal Advisory initiatives.
What you'll bring:
- CTA, ACA, CA or equivalent qualification.
- Strong UK corporate tax knowledge, with an interest in advising on transactions.
- Experience of working within deal advisory, transaction tax, or corporate tax with exposure to M&A projects (preferred).
- Strong analytical skills and a commercial mindset.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects, drive delivery, and work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with confidence engaging with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
- Demonstrated leadership capability coaching, developing, and supporting team members.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
