A leading Top 10 accountancy firm is looking to appoint an experienced Audit Partner to join its highly successful Corporate & Capital Markets practice in London.
The firm is the largest auditor of AIM-listed companies in the UK, with a significant presence across both the AIM and Main Markets. This is a high-profile opportunity for an established Audit Partner, or an experienced Director looking to make the move to Partner, with a strong track record of working with listed and publicly traded businesses.
The successful individual will join a team with deep expertise across the listed market and an impressive client base spanning technology, natural resources, manufacturing, media, retail and a range of other sectors.
The Opportunity
This is a key leadership position within a growing and ambitious listed audit practice.
You'll take responsibility for a portfolio of significant listed and corporate clients, acting as a senior trusted adviser and providing leadership across complex audit engagements, financial reporting matters and wider corporate reporting requirements.
The role combines technical audit leadership, client relationship management and business development, with the opportunity to play a significant part in further developing the firm's already strong position within the listed market.
The firm is particularly interested in individuals who can bring strong existing market experience and relationships, alongside the ability to develop new opportunities and help grow the practice.
Key Responsibilities

Lead a portfolio of AIM and Main Market listed audit clients, taking overall responsibility for audit quality and client service.

Act as the key senior relationship point for CFOs, Finance Directors, Audit Committees and Boards.

Provide strategic and technical leadership on complex audit and financial reporting matters.

Oversee the delivery of high-quality audits, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory and professional standards.

Advise clients and engagement teams on complex accounting, reporting and audit matters.

Develop trusted, long-term relationships with listed businesses and their senior management teams.

Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and introduce additional audit, tax and advisory services.

Lead and contribute to business development and winning new listed audit mandates.

Build relationships across the capital markets ecosystem, including investors, advisers, lawyers and other professional intermediaries.

Support the firm's continued growth within the AIM and wider listed audit market.

Provide leadership, mentoring and development to Audit Directors, Managers and wider engagement teams.

Contribute to the strategic development of the Corporate & Capital Markets practice.

Represent the firm at relevant industry, networking and market events.

Experience across multiple sectors would be highly attractive, although strong listed audit credentials and market experience are the key requirements.
About You
We're looking for an established Audit Partner or senior audit professional with a strong track record in the listed and capital markets environment.
You'll ideally have:

Significant external audit experience gained within a Big 4, Top 10 or similarly recognised professional services firm.

A strong track record of auditing listed businesses, ideally including AIM-listed companies.

Experience working with complex or high-growth businesses across one or more sectors.

Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, UK listing requirements and the wider listed reporting environment.
