Radio Design Engineer - Nokia RAN
Location: Home based (UK) with occasional office visits required.
Are you passionate about cutting-edge mobile network technology? Our client is looking for a Nokia Radio Design Engineer to help deliver high-performance 4G/5G RAN designs.
You'll play a key role in shaping their Radio Access Network by translating business and strategic requirements into high-level and low-level designs, optimising performance and leading technical solutions.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Designing and optimising 4G and 5G (NSA & SA) radio networks, with a strong focus on Nokia RAN technology.
- Producing High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs) in line with internal strategy and customer needs.
- Supporting software drop selections and contributing to new RAN software deployment strategies.
- Investigating network performance issues and driving improvements with regional and performance teams.
- Providing expert input on software and hardware feature testing, both in lab/testbed and live network environments.
- Collaborating with third-party design firms, vendors and cross-functional internal teams.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- RAN design experience, including hands-on Nokia RAN work.
- Strong knowledge of LTE and 5G technologies and network architecture.
- Experience with drive test tools and performance analytics platforms.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), NetACT knowledge is a bonus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to simplify the complex for a range of stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, detail driven and a proactive problem solver.
Please note: This role is home based, with occasional on-site visits required, therefore candidates must have valid right to work in the UK. This is an initial 4 month contract with the view to extend and deemed inside IR35.
