Exciting opportunity to join a growing company and play a part in upcoming projects

We are partnering this industry leader in the energy sector in their search for a Senior Business Finance Manager who has a combination of strong technical accounting foundations and also a good understanding of / exposure to international tax advisory. This is an exciting opportunity created to support the business' growth and an increasing stream of new projects.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will partner closely with local Operations / Project teams and Business Development teams to provide advice and recommendations on accounting, tax and corporate structure implications of new projects.

You will propose funding structures for new deals and relevant financial instruments, influence pricing negotiations and review contracts, sales agreements and tax structures for new acquisitions / projects. You will liaise with external legal and tax advisors from the respective local project sites, ensure accuracy and relevance of the detailed information provided and distill critical information to the senior leadership team and to investors.

As the Subject Matter Expert, you will procure and interpret external accounting and tax advice provided by external professional bodies and ensure they are accurately communicated to financial modellers and correctly applied in analysis and models.

The role is based in their office in the City of London.

To be considered, you MUST have / be:

  • Qualified Accountant - ACA / CIMA / ACCA / ICAS or an equivalent recognised qualification and about 5 years PQE
  • Strong understanding of relevant IFRS accounting standards and treatments, and some knowledge / experience with international tax practices
  • Relevant Big 4 experience, or with energy / construction multinational corporations
  • Excellent communication, commercial gravitas and business partnering skills
