Unique 'Player-Coach' RFP opportunity at a boutique investment manager

A boutique investment manager is actively looking for an Investment Management Senior RFP Writer with some people management experience to join their sales team. Based in offices in central London but initially working remotely.

You will be working alongside the UK, EMEA and APAC Sales and Marketing teams in order to answer bespoke and tailored questionnaires as well as act as a player-coach, mentoring and managing a small team.

RFP Manager's key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responding to RFPs / RFIs / DDQs - completing institutional bid proposals with engaging and relevant content, adhering to tight deadlines. Creating new and compelling content to ensure RFPs stand out from the crowd
  • Content Management - manage and maintain the existing content database. Carry out an audit and review of existing content to ensure it is relevant, up-to-date and regularly maintained. Maximise the use of their proposal automation software
  • Project Management - come up with innovative ways of enhancing production and take ownership for projects to support process improvements and enhance the RFP team's efficiency
  • People Management - managing a small team and supporting and mentoring wider stakeholders
  • Relationship management - build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders including sales, marketing, investment and compliance teams
  • Ad hoc support - as part of the client service and sales team

The ideal RFP Manager will have:

  • Extensive experience writing RFPs and RFIs in Asset Management, with experience writing on Equities products, as well as exposure to Fixed Income and Real Assets.
  • Previous experience managing, or at least mentoring, bid proposal writers is essential for the role
  • Experience managing and maintaining content in an RFP Machine, such as Qvidian, PMAPS or Loopio
  • Ability to manage projects from start to finish, adhering to tight deadlines and delivering exceptional results.
  • High attention to detail and fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communications skills

Associated Compensation:

£70,000-75,000 + Discretionary Bonus + Benefits
