Job Description

Audit Senior job for a global top 10 Accountancy firm in the City of London, who are looking for newly qualified Auditors.

A top 10 Accountancy firm, based in the heart of the financial district in London, is recruiting an Audit Senior. The firm have an extremely well-established client base across the private and not for profit sectors and will offer clear and achievable targets to ensure you can progress and develop at your own pace.

The role has come about due to the growth of the firm's client base and will see you working within the Business Services department, which looks after private sector companies across a range of industries. This role is audit focused but will give you a small amount of exposure to accounts preparation. As an Audit Senior, you will work with organisations ranging from listed companies to owner-managed businesses. Sectors that you will get exposure to will include natural resources, technology, professional practices and retailers.

You will be ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent qualification) and have spent at least 3 years working in an audit role where you would have spent a minimum of 70% of your time assisting and leading audits.

Audit Senior responsibilities

· Attend pre-assignment discussions with the audit team

· Understand the objectives of each assignment including the budget requirements.

· Be responsible for allocating work to junior members of the audit team whilst providing on the job training to junior members of the firm, reviewing their work and providing feedback

· Ensure that the work undertaken on site is in accordance with the approved plan and budget

· Advise the manager of any developments that may lead to a change in strategy and suggest logical solutions to any problems

· Detailed assignment memorandum incorporating an appropriate analytical review

· Clear manager and partner review points and follow up any outstanding queries

· Respond to all client queries and concerns in an efficient and professional manner, often dealing directly with senior management
