Job Description

Front office, FX, Application support, SQL, Linux, MS Office

This role provides eMarkets and front office application support to the London FX Desk as part of the global FX support team. The individual will work closely with the business in the support of the application both in house and vendor solutions which are used by the sales and trading London FX group. This role will require extensive front office interaction and provide a point of contact to the global FX support and development team, whilst managing and overseeing implementation of enhancements and upgrades provided by the development team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • This position includes assessing and resolving production system issues, responding to urgent front office requests and adhoc reporting needs
  • Incident management process in order to rectify\solution and prompt business communication.
  • Support of internal/vendor Pricing, Aggregation and Execution platforms
  • Monitoring / Support for FX SDP (Single Dealer Platform)
  • Build strong relationship with the global team to improve the support provided by the team

Required Skill-set:

  • Highly motivated individual with a proven track record to deliver results
  • 3-5 years' experience in a fast-paced technology support environment (Preferably in the banking sector).
  • An understanding of FX, Options and Derivatives Markets or equivalent experience will be an added advantage
  • The analyst requires insight of the FX business, market trends, and detailed knowledge of transaction flow
  • An understanding of system architecture and IT processes.
  • Executing queries, building Use Case Scenarios for business requests and small enhancements
  • Good working knowledge of sql, unix, ms office as well as the ability to create adhoc reports using these tools
  • Ability to work, troubleshoot, and deliver high quality results in a fast paced and demanding environment.
  • Strong conceptual, analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills; and can work effectively in a complex trading environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to manage business\technology priorities and escalate issues promptly.
  • Good team player with strong interpersonal (both verbal and written) communication skills
  • Experience in Excel and VBA Skills to assist in Pricing Issues
