We have a fantastic opportunity for an AAT qualified Accountancy candidate OR a Legal Cashier to join a successful, growing software company based in Farnborough in a Customer Support and Training role. The company have exciting plans for expansion and this position has been created due to an internal promotion. The position is Customer Support and Training Specialist and the main focus of the role is to provide outstanding customer service, technical support and training to new and existing customers, via phone, email, webinars and face to face meetings (when this is possible).

The company provide Legal clients with specialised Accounting and Case Management software - full training will be provided but we are looking for someone with strong Accountancy / Bookkeeping knowledge who will have an understanding of the type of queries that can arise when using an Accounting package. Legal accounts experience would be ideal but is not essential - as long as you have a background in Accountancy, backed up with AAT or equivalent qualifications, we would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities will include:

  • Respond to customer queries and requests in a prompt and courteous manner
  • Ensure that you are providing not only a resolution to the issue but also identifying any training needs and providing the necessary guidance in order to help the customer manage similar problems in future
  • Provide training on the product via telephone, webinar and onsite meetings (when this becomes possible again)
  • Provide pre-release testing on the product to make sure that the software is fit for purpose and compatible with customer systems

Key requirements:

  • Solid Accounts experience backed up by qualifications such as AAT
  • Able to demonstrate a good understanding of VAT, accounting procedures and double-entry bookkeeping
  • Customer focused attitude - this is a Customer Support role and you must be confident in dealing with people and solving problems in a professional manner
  • Outstanding communication skills and an excellent telephone manner
  • A desire to learn about new technology and an interest in IT
  • You must be able to drive as the role will involve some travel to deliver onsite training to customers

In return for your skills this company offers extensive and ongoing training, great opportunities for career development and a really supportive, close knit team. The salary is £25 - 28k depending on experience plus a good package including 23 days holiday (plus Bank Holidays), parking, modern offices in Farnborough, company pension and annual bonus of up to 10% of salary (based on company and individual performance). Hours are Monday - Friday, 9 - 5.30.
