Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a new role of Communications and PR Manager for a growing business in Berkshire!



UP TO £35,000

We are recruiting for Communication, PR & CSR Manager who will be responsible for protecting and enhancing the brand's reputation and awareness by delivering appropriate PR and communication strategies;

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement a proactive external communication and PR strategy to support business andbrand goals, including brand awareness, reputation, engagement and sentiment
  • Ensure the brand and key messages are communicated consistently in an engaging way with externalpartners, media and stakeholder groups
  • Develop and edit communications materials as required. Approve media releases and other press materials
  • Co-ordinate all media opportunities to promote the company. Work with PR agency to seek and maximisePR opportunities
  • Deliver direct customer communications to support business needs, primarily to owners and members, via letter, email and social media. Ensure communication is transparent, timely, professional and in line with brand values and tone.
  • Collaborate with the PR agency and internal team members to handle the PR response to crisis situations,ensuring that robust processes and support are in place
  • Co-ordinate the prompt and appropriate response to customer complaints
  • Shape and deliver the businesses CSR strategy and objective that aligns with the brand purpose and values, and seeks to have a positive environment and social impact
  • Develop ideas, policies and plans and implement and co-ordinate activities to deliver the CSR objectives
  • Ensure the CSR goals are met by bringing the strategy to life and building CSR activities into business as usual activities. Provide advice, guidance and direction as required
  • Raise awareness of the company's CSR policies, projects and impacts
  • Work collaboratively across business teams to plan and deliver PR and communication strategies to support new business initiatives and projects
  • Work with PR agency to brief spokespeople within the organisation on communicating with the media
  • Develop and maintain the companies website to communicate brand values and relevant PR and CSR information
  • Analyse and report on media coverage, communication efforts and brand metrics using a variety of data sources
  • Produce regular reports on and company publications, including the annual CSR report
  • Support the development of a Brand strategySupport the development of a content strategy to promote the brand and support customer journeys
  • Manage PR agency, and other external agencies, to deliver PR strategy, maximise opportunities and manage crisis situations. Manage and maximise budget
  • Degree level education ideally in communications, journalism, public relations or similar field
  • Experience of working in a communications and PR role for minimum 5 years
  • B2C experience
  • Media/journalism experience or familiarity with industry/basic principles
  • Previous CSR experience preferred
  • Proven success designing and executing communication and PR strategies
  • Hospitality, hotel, travel or tourism experience preferred
  • Supplier/external agency management experience essential
