Job Description

Our client is a leading technology agency that revolutionalises, provides innovative and integrates smart technologies for the healthcare sector.

We are looking for an experienced candidate with strong domain knowledge and experience in project management, cybersecurity threat monitoring in OT and IT systems and cybersecurity risks management and controls.


This position will support the set up and drive the efficient and effective detection, triage and response to MDOT cybersecurity events and/or incidents.

You will work with internal and/or external parties to build the MDOT Security Operations Centre (SOC) understanding of the cyber threats in the MDOT domain for the provisioning of 24x7 monitoring of MDOT cybersecurity events.

In addition, the position will work with incident responders to ensure that MDOT cybersecurity events and/or incidents are promptly analysed and responded to.

As part of this role, the individual will be required to engage with various stakeholders from government, manufacturers and healthcare institutions to drive for required outcomes. This includes working with stakeholders for risk assessments and solutions.

As part of Cyber Defence Group, the individual will work closely with the Medical Devices Governance team to uplift cybersecurity posture, identify gaps, implement initiatives and work with institutions to meet full compliance with cybersecurity policies and requirements.


  • Support the conceptualization, planning and development of an integrated Security Operations Centre (SOC) to equip with advanced cyber threat monitoring and detection, early warning, threat hunting, and active defence capabilities for MDOT systems.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders / partners to manage and oversee the implementation and operations of the MDOT SOC.
  • Implement standard operating procedures, frameworks and system architecture for cybersecurity operations and response.
  • Oversee that detected cyber threats, risks and vulnerabilities are addressed promptly.
  • Track and analyse cybersecurity metrics for optimal effectiveness, benchmarking and management reporting
  • Drive the management of MDOT cybersecurity incidents as the incident response manager
  • Provide management updates, incident reports and recommendations to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of cybersecurity monitoring and detection.
  • Monitor for emerging threats and advise stakeholders on appropriate courses of action.


  • At least 4 years of direct and relevant full-time cybersecurity work experience related to procurement, development and management of a SOC.
  • Candidates with strong domain knowledge and experience in project management, cybersecurity threat monitoring (OT and IT systems), threat hunting, logs review and analysis, network security, machine learning, vulnerability assessment/penetration testing, compliance and cybersecurity risks management and controls will be preferred.
  • Familiarity with the Kill Chain Methodology, MITRE ATT&CK Framework, NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), etc will be an advantage.
  • Self-motivated, a good team player and strong ability to be autonomous but proactive in reaching out for support.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders including explaining technical concepts to non-technical recipients.
  • Good verbal, written communication and analytical skills.
  • Trained in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering (Computing / Telecommunication) or equivalent
  • Professional cybersecurity certifications would be an advantage, e.g. CISSP, CISM, GCIH, GCFA, GNFA or similar.
