Job Description
Morgan McKinley is working closely with a client in the Banking Industry to recruit for a Middleware Engineer
Role: Middleware Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Expertise in application hosting technologies (build and support) with specialized emphasis on IBM/Oracle technologies i.e. WebSphere/WebLogic Application Server WebSphere Process Server WebLogic Forms and Reports IHS (HTTP Server)
- Expertise in other web hosting technologies like Oracle Application Server, Apache and Tomcat
- Expertise in Java/J2EE deployments Unix Shell script programming and automation tools.
- Security certificate management involved for webhosting products.
- Support technology improvements such as new infrastructure install and hardware/software upgrade and engineering support
Required skillset and experience:
- Change management and production deployment experience preferred
- Proficient in Middleware technologies with moderate skillsets but not limited to: WebSphere (WAS), Apache (Tomcat), Windows (IIS), JBOSS, NodeJS
- Technical background on UNIX/LINUX/AIX, Network (load-balancing/F5), WESDB/DataPower, Cloud Technologies, Certificate Management (Cybersecurity)
- Azure Fundamentals, and ITIL certificates would be preferred
