    My client, a leading provider in the private healthcare sector, is seeking a professional and compassionate Patient Liaison / Receptionist to join their team at the Waterford clinic. This key role acts as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, combining front-of-house reception duties with essential administrative and secretarial support. The ideal candidate will help ensure a seamless, supportive, and high-quality experience for patients throughout their treatment journey.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Welcome and check in patients, verifying personal and medical details.
    • Schedule appointments and manage diaries for clinical staff and counsellors.
    • Respond to patient queries via phone, email, and in person.
    • Process payments, issue invoices, and upload receipts to internal systems.
    • Update and manage patient information in the database.
    • Scan, file, and prepare medical documents and treatment records.
    • Support consultants with correspondence and clinic preparation.
    • Liaise with external facilities for appointment scheduling (e.g. theatres).
    • Escort patients to treatment or recovery areas when needed.
    • Assist with reporting, event coordination, and clinic statistics.
    • Provide cross-cover at other clinic locations and weekend reception support as required.

    Key Requirements:

    • Previous experience in a receptionist, medical admin, or patient-facing role.
    • Excellent communication, organisation, and customer service skills.
    • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office and patient database systems (training provided).
    • Flexible to work across clinic locations and provide weekend cover on a rota basis.
    • Full Drivers Licence essential.
