We are seeking an experienced, hands-on HR Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day people function of a fast-growing Waterford based company. This is a newly created position, reporting to the CFO.
This is a broad role covering recruitment, onboarding, employee relations and people management. A key priority will be establishing a consistent and professional onboarding experience across all departments, while also taking ownership of recruitment and providing practical HR support to managers and employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end recruitment process, partnering with department heads on hiring requirements..
- Develop and implement a structured and consistent recruitment process across the organisation, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
- Take ownership of the end-to-end employee onboarding process, establishing a consistent company-wide framework while working with departments on role-specific induction and training.

- Act as the first point of contact for day-to-day HR matters, providing practical advice and support to managers and employees across the full employee lifecycle.
- Support managers with employee relations and performance matters, including probation, absence, disciplinary and grievance processes.
- Ensure HR policies, processes, employee records and documentation are accurate, compliant and consistently applied across the organisation.
- Build strong relationships with department heads and the leadership team, acting as a trusted HR partner and supporting managers to develop effective people-management practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve and standardise HR processes, helping to build scalable people practices that support the continued growth of the business.
- Provide relevant HR reporting, insights and recommendations to the CFO and wider leadership team.
Key Requirements:
- CIPD qualification or equivalent HR qualification is desirable.
- Strong generalist HR experience at HR Manager, Senior HR Generalist, People Operations Manager or similar level.
- Proven experience managing recruitment and talent acquisition.
- Strong experience developing or managing employee onboarding programmes.
- Good working knowledge of Irish employment legislation.
- Experience supporting UK employees, with knowledge of UK employment practices highly advantageous.
- Experience working within an international or multi-jurisdictional organisation is desirable.
- Strong employee relations experience and confidence dealing with complex HR matters.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A practical, hands-on approach with the ability to take ownership and work independently.
