    About the job

    An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Strategic Account Executive to join a leading global financial analytics company in Tokyo. In this client-facing role, you will manage and grow strategic relationships with Japan's investment management and financial services clients, helping them leverage advanced data analytics solutions to drive better business decisions. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, identify commercial growth opportunities, and contribute to the company's continued expansion in the Japanese financial market.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive revenue growth and expand existing client portfolios.
    • Manage the full client lifecycle, including contract renewals, pricing negotiations, and long-term relationship management.
    • Build trusted relationships with senior decision-makers across investment management firms and financial institutions.
    • Monitor sales pipelines, account performance, and opportunities using CRM platforms.
    • Gather market intelligence and client feedback to support product development and enhance future service offerings.

    Required Skills and Qualifications

    Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree or above.
    • Over 6 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in corporate finance, financial services, fintech, or B2B enterprise sales.
    • Proven experience managing strategic accounts and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
    • Strong knowledge of investment management, asset management, capital markets, or financial analytics solutions.
    • Experience using CRM systems and enterprise databases to monitor sales performance and business opportunities.
    Soft Skills:
    • Outstanding relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
    • Strong commercial mindset with excellent negotiation and influencing abilities.
    • Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to explain complex business insights clearly.
    • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing multiple strategic accounts in a fast-paced environment.
    Language Requirements:
    • Japanese: Native level
    • English: Business to Intermediate level

    Preferred Skills & Qualifications

    • Experience selling financial data, analytics, SaaS, or enterprise technology solutions.
    • Existing network within Japanese investment management or financial services organizations.
    • Experience working in an international or multinational business environment.
    • Strong understanding of financial markets and investment industry trends.
