A leading European automotive parts manufacturer is seeking an experienced Shared Service Center Manager to oversee HR operations and strategy for multiple business units. This role involves managing a mid-sized team and driving continuous improvement across shared service functions. You will play a key role in enhancing operational efficiency, digital transformation, and compliance within a dynamic and globally integrated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead the daily operations of the Shared Service Center, ensuring high service delivery standards across HR functions.
- Oversee and support a mid-sized team, promoting collaboration, development, and accountability.
- Develop and implement strategic and budget management plans aligned with company objectives.
- Lead initiatives focused on business process improvement, quality management, and cost efficiency.
- Drive digital transformation, introducing tools and technologies to streamline HR operations.
- Ensure compliance and internal controls are consistently upheld across all business units.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing shared service operations.
- Proven ability to lead teams and deliver measurable operational improvements.
Technical & Functional Knowledge:
- Familiarity with HR operations including payroll, social insurance, and internal regulations.
- Strong understanding of digital tools and process automation in HR or shared services.
- Experience in business process standardization and documentation across group companies.
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Analytical mindset and proactive approach to problem-solving.
Language Requirements
- Japanese: Native-level proficiency (required for internal communication and compliance).
- English: Business-level proficiency (for collaboration with global teams).
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in cost optimization and business digitization.
- Strong research and documentation abilities to consolidate HR policies and procedures.
- Experience in manufacturing or multinational organizations is an advantage.
