Exciting role within fast-growing, global healthcare company from US. Cover all of infrastructure, helpdesk, and service desk for the Japan office.
Roles/Responsibilities
- Lead IT deskside services and service desk delivery, aligning with IT Business Partners and Global IT.
- Drive key programs, innovation, and continuous improvement for the company's IT infrastructure to achieve business goals.
- Manage a team to oversee deskside services, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Build strong relationships with site leadership and high-level stakeholders in Tokyo office.
- Manage IT site operations, including infrastructure and local support.
- Ensure global IT standards are followed for hardware and software.
- Collaborate with IT leaders in Japan, the region, and globally on priorities and objectives.
- Ensure IT security compliance for local sites, as well as regulatory and policy compliance.
- Coordinate physical infrastructure and site maintenance with inhouse resources and vendors.
- Ensure comprehensive support for meetings, including setup and facilitation.
- Negotiate mobile device contracts and recommend devices.
- Oversee purchasing processes for IT assets and mobile devices, adhering to global and local standards.
- Input and manage IT P&L.
Required skills
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
- Minimum 7 years of IT Management experience.
- Leadership experience, ideally an international team of Japanese and foreigners.
- ITSM certification required.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Project management experience with cross-divisional teams.
- Fluent Japanese and business English or above.

Preferred skills
- Medical devices or pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus.
- ITIL certification.
