Manager - Strategic Investments (Global CVC)

Seeking motivated and ambitious investment professionals eager to apply their expertise in strategic deals.

Roles/Responsibilities

• Conduct research and analyze potential investment opportunities, focusing on financial modeling, market analysis, and risk assessment.
• Prepare materials and lead due diligence processes for the investment committee.
• Lead negotiations and execution of investment deals, coordinating with legal, financial, and business divisions.
• Monitor portfolio company performance, support business development, and provide regular performance reports.
• Stay updated on market trends and industry developments, identifying new opportunities and maintaining a network of experts.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, fostering collaboration and synergy within business divisions.

Required skills

• Experience working at a VC, CVC, PE, or a venture/startup company, with participation in corporate strategy and development projects (minimum 5-6 years)
• Native/business level Japanese and business level English

Preferred skills

• CFA, CPA, or CMA holder
• Experience working on cross-border deals
• Specific sector knowledge: technology/TMT, fintech, mobility, or healthcare are preferred
