A global technology leader is seeking a Legal Counsel to advise on complex services and SaaS transactions within its expanding solutions business. You will negotiate and manage high-value commercial deals, support managed services structuring, and collaborate with global legal and business teams on regulatory and cross-border issues. Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate and manage large-scale, complex services and solutions agreements.
- Provide legal support for structuring managed services and SaaS offerings.
- Advise on regulatory and commercial legal issues across Japan and APAC.
- Collaborate with global legal teams and senior business leaders on cross-border matters.
- Develop templates, playbooks, and legal processes to improve business efficiency.
- Partner with sales and commercial teams to close strategic transactions.
- Support leadership on governance and compliance initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 12+ years in corporate or commercial law, with in-house exposure strongly preferred.
- Strong background in services, SaaS, or technology-related transactions.
- Proven ability to advise on regulatory and cross-border legal matters.
- Proactive, confident, and comfortable advising senior leadership.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in complex environments.
Language Requirements
- Japanese: Fluent proficiency.
- English: Business-level proficiency.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in global or multinational organizations.
- Familiarity with IT or managed services industries.
- Track record of building governance frameworks and template libraries.
