An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IBD Analyst to Associate to join a leading Global Investment Bank in Tokyo. This role offers exposure to high-profile domestic and cross-border transactions across mergers and acquisitions, debt financing, and equity capital markets. Working within a growing investment banking team, you will collaborate with experienced professionals on complex deals while developing your technical and client advisory skills in a fast-paced, international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the execution of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions for domestic and international clients.
- Collaborate with senior bankers and cross-functional teams on debt and equity financing projects.
- Prepare financial models, valuation analyses, pitch books, and client presentation materials.
- Conduct market, industry, and company research to support transaction execution and strategic recommendations.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and clients throughout the deal lifecycle.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of corporate finance experience within an Investment Bank, Corporate Bank, or Strategic Consulting firm in Japan.
- Suitable for junior professionals with up to 5 years of total work experience.
- Strong analytical and financial modelling capabilities with an understanding of capital markets and corporate finance.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Language Requirements:
