As the HR Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all HR operational processes across Japan.
Roles/Responsibilities
- HR Operations Leadership: Manage and oversee the HR operations team responsible for all transactional HR processes, including employee onboarding/offboarding, payroll, time tracking, benefits administration, and HR compliance.
- Process Optimization: Drive continuous improvement and standardization of HR operational processes to enhance efficiency, reduce administrative workload, and ensure scalability as the organization grows.
- HR Systems Management: Ensure that HR systems and tools, including HRIS, payroll systems, and performance management platforms, are maintained and used effectively. Collaborate with global HR teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with local labor laws, data privacy regulations, and global company standards. Keep up to date with changes in employment regulations in Japan and ensure that the company is in full compliance.
- Payroll & Benefits: Oversee payroll processing and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. Manage vendor relationships and collaborate with finance teams to ensure alignment on payroll and benefits budgets.
- Employee Lifecycle Management: Manage the employee lifecycle from hiring to exit, ensuring that all processes, from onboarding to offboarding, are executed smoothly and in accordance with company policy.
- HR Reporting & Analytics: Generate HR reports, including workforce data, headcount reports, and turnover metrics. Leverage data analytics to provide insights and support decision-making.
Required skills
- 5+ years of experience in HR operations or a similar HR role within a large multinational organization, preferably in the tech industry.
- Strong knowledge of Japanese labor laws and HR compliance requirements.
- Experience managing payroll, benefits, and HRIS systems in Japan.
