As a DBA / Database Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing internal database environments that support business-critical systems. This role focuses on database reliability, performance improvement, and data protection across enterprise infrastructure. You will work closely with other technical teams to ensure stable operations and long-term system health in a structured and precision-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, operate, and maintain database servers supporting internal systems
- Monitor database performance and apply tuning to improve stability and efficiency
- Troubleshoot and resolve database incidents and operational issues
- Design, implement, and maintain database environments
- Manage database backups and execute recovery procedures when required
- Analyze technical issues and report findings clearly to stakeholders
- Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to support system operations
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience as a DBA or Database Engineer
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server
- Solid understanding of RDBMS architecture and database operations
- Experience supporting production database environments
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills with a logical approach
- High attention to detail and operational accuracy
- Ability to work reliably in structured, business-critical environments
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Fluent
- English: Intermediate to Business level
