An exceptional opportunity has become available for an experienced Financial Risk Solutions Pre-Sales Director to join a globally recognized financial technology and financial services organization in Tokyo. In this leadership role, you will lead a high-performing regional pre-sales team, helping financial institutions leverage advanced credit risk management, capital markets, and financial analytics solutions. You will oversee the complete solution sales cycle, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and build strategic partnerships that drive business growth across Japan and the wider region.
This role is ideal for an experienced leader with expertise in financial risk management, enterprise software, pre-sales, and fintech solutions, who is passionate about delivering value to institutional clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a regional team of technical pre-sales and solution specialists to exceed business growth objectives.
- Manage the full solution sales lifecycle, including client discovery, solution demonstrations, proposal development, and contract negotiations.
- Design tailored client proposals by combining financial analytics, risk management software, consulting services, and market intelligence.
- Partner closely with account executives, implementation consultants, and product development teams to deliver exceptional client experiences.
- Build and strengthen long-term relationships with major banks, financial institutions, and strategic industry partners across Japan.
- Support post-implementation client engagement to maximize customer satisfaction, retention, and future business opportunities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Business, Economics, Technology, or a related discipline. An MBA is highly preferred.
- Over 6 years of experience leading technical pre-sales, solution consulting, or enterprise software sales teams within financial services, investment banking, or fintech.
- Strong expertise in credit risk management, capital markets, corporate banking, and financial analytics solutions.
- Experience working with AI-powered technologies or machine learning applications within financial services is highly desirable.
- Proven success leading enterprise solution sales and managing executive-level client relationships.

- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and executive-level communication skills.
- Strong strategic thinking and consultative problem-solving abilities.
