A global investment bank is hiring a senior FIG Relationship Manager (RM) specializing in FICC (Fixed Income, Currencies & Commodities) products in Tokyo. This is a VP to Director level front office position focused on covering Japan-based financial institution clients. You will play a key role in strengthening client relationships, generating revenue through strategic product coverage, and working closely with internal trading and product teams in a fast-paced global markets environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary Relationship Manager for Japan-based financial institution clients
- Drive client coverage and revenue generation through advisory and sales activities across FICC products
- Build and deepen long-term relationships with key decision makers at institutional clients
- Partner with trading and product teams to deliver tailored solutions and execute client flow
- Identify market opportunities, client needs, and business development initiatives to expand wallet share
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of Fixed Income sales experience at an investment bank in Japan
- Strong expertise covering financial institutions and selling FICC products in a front office environment
- Proven ability to operate at VP to Director level with strong commercial impact
Soft Skills:
- Strong relationship-building skills with senior institutional stakeholders
- High communication ability with strong stakeholder management across internal teams
- Ability to perform under pressure and deliver results in dynamic market conditions
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Native-level fluency (written and spoken)
- English: Business-level proficiency
