Take a leadership role in the rapidly growing cybersecurity consulting market in Japan with a global professional services firm. As an Associate Partner / Partner - Cybersecurity, you will advise major organisations across financial services, manufacturing, telecommunications, technology, and the public sector on business-critical cybersecurity transformation.
This executive-level position spans cybersecurity strategy, cyber risk management, security governance, cloud security, Zero Trust, incident response, and AI security. Beyond project delivery, you will build trusted relationships with CISO, CIO, and other C-level executives, develop new client accounts, create cybersecurity services and solutions, and grow high-performing consulting teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of cybersecurity strategies, transformation roadmaps, and governance models aligned with clients' business and corporate strategies.
- Advise major organisations on cyber risk management, including cyber risk assessments, enterprise risk management (ERM) integration, risk appetite, security governance, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead technology-driven security transformation across areas such as Zero Trust, Cloud Security, IAM, SOC, EDR, Security Architecture, and AI Security.
- Build long-term relationships with CISOs, CIOs, CDOs, and other senior executives, identifying strategic challenges and translating them into high-impact consulting engagements.
- Drive business development through new client acquisition, account strategy, proposal development, and the identification of new cybersecurity consulting opportunities.
- Develop new cybersecurity services, methodologies, solutions, and assets based on evolving market requirements and leading global practices.
- Lead the growth of the Cybersecurity Consulting practice through talent acquisition, team building, mentoring, professional development, and knowledge sharing.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Extensive experience in cybersecurity consulting or advisory, with an executive-level career background of typically 10+ years.
- Proven experience advising CISOs, CIOs, and senior executives on cybersecurity strategy, risk management, and transformation.
- Deep expertise in one or more areas including Cyber Risk, Security Governance, Security Architecture, Cloud Security, SOC, or Incident Response.
- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale or multiple concurrent cybersecurity projects.
- Proven experience in business development, consulting proposals, and account management within the cybersecurity sector.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional background.
Soft Skills:
- Ability to understand executive-level business challenges and translate cybersecurity into measurable business value and strategic outcomes.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to establish long-term trust with CISO, CIO, and other executive stakeholders.
- Excellent strategic and analytical thinking, with the ability to structure complex challenges and lead initiatives from strategy through execution.
- Executive leadership capabilities with experience mobilising multidisciplinary specialists and building high-performing teams.
- Strong commercial and entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities created by changing technologies, regulations, and market conditions.
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Native level.
- English: Business level, with the ability to collaborate with international specialists and global teams.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience as a CISO, CSO, or senior security leader responsible for cybersecurity strategy and security organisations.
- Revenue ownership or P&L management experience within cybersecurity services or consulting.
- Deep industry expertise in financial services, manufacturing, telecommunications, technology, or the public sector.
- Advanced expertise in areas such as Zero Trust, Cloud Security, IAM, SOC, Security Architecture, OT Security, or AI Security.
- Knowledge of leading security frameworks, including NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
- Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CRISC.
- Experience leading global projects and collaborating with international teams in English.
- Management experience within a global professional services firm, consulting firm, SIer, or cybersecurity vendor.
