Roles/Responsibilities
- Provide legal support for capital markets transactions, including equity, debt, and structured finance deals.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents, including offering memoranda, underwriting agreements, and other transaction-related contracts.
- Advise internal teams on regulatory and compliance matters relevant to capital markets activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including compliance, risk, and finance, to ensure alignment on legal and business objectives.
- Stay updated on relevant legal and regulatory developments and provide guidance to the business on potential impacts.
- Manage relationships with external counsel, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective legal services.
- Support the execution of strategic initiatives and special projects within the capital markets division.
Required skills
- Qualified lawyer with at least 5 years of experience in capital markets law.
- Strong knowledge of securities regulations and capital markets practices.
- Japanese Language (no exeptions)
Preferred skills
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Experience in a top-tier law firm or in-house legal team within a financial institution.
- Ability to manage multiple complex transactions in a fast-paced environment.
