Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal reviews and day-to-day consultation to internal departments
• Manage litigation cases and liaise with external legal counsel

• Deliver internal legal training to business units

• Act as a liaison between internal business units and legal/compliance departments

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of legal experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries
• Background in civil, commercial, and financial regulatory law

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to handle English-language contracts at a basic to intermediate level

Language Requirements:

• Japanese: Native level
• English: Intermediate to Business level

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Legal experience in banking, securities, or insurance law
• In-house advisory background with exposure to litigation and risk mitigation
• Legal qualification such as Bengoshi or experience at VP level is a plus
