Morgan McKinley is delighted to represent a premier, multi-billion euro retail and food innovation leader in their search for a Senior FP&A Analyst. Based in Cork, this is a pivotal role within a 150-year-old legacy business that remains at the forefront of the Irish market.
The Opportunity
Joining a high-performing Financial Planning & Analysis team, you will act as a strategic guide for the organization. Your mission is to drive the business forward through robust forecasting, top-class business partnering, and meaningful reporting that informs executive strategy.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning: Play an integral role in the three-year business planning process, annual budgeting, and the delivery of quarterly financial forecasts.
- Commercial Insights: Support strategic analysis on key commercial levers, providing stakeholders with timely and actionable insights on business performance.

Process Transformation: Identify and lead improvements in budgeting and forecasting workflows, focusing on driving maximum efficiency and effectiveness.

Business Partnering: Provide high-level analytical and decision support to the Finance Director and senior leadership team.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proactively support large-scale commercial projects, adding value through deep-dive analysis and data interpretation.

Stakeholder Management: Communicate financial performance and underlying drivers clearly and positively to ensure a shared understanding across the business.
The Profile

Qualified Professional: Fully qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent).

Proven Track Record: At least 5+ years of experience in a senior finance or highly analytical role

Influencing Skills: Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at a senior/executive level.

Agility & Pace: A disciplined professional capable of making informed decisions at pace within an agile environment.

Analytical Powerhouse: Strong numerical skills with a natural ability to interpret complex datasets.

Systems Mindset: Process-driven with a focus on systems (exposure to Anaplan or similar planning tools is a distinct advantage).

Industry Knowledge: While not mandatory, experience within the Irish retail industry is a significant plus.
