Job Summary
The Senior Social Worker plays a vital clinical leadership role in facilitating change and improving the lives of individuals, families, and communities facing complex life transitions and mental health challenges.
Operating with high professional autonomy and accountability, the incumbent provides direct clinical interventions, manages high-risk client cases, and provides supervisory oversight to social workers and case workers to ensure service delivery aligns with the highest professional standards.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Governance & Casework Supervision
Supervise and approve comprehensive case assessments, intervention outcome plans, and case closures for junior colleagues.
Provide clinical consultations and expert guidance on complex cases involving high-risk factors.
Support or co-lead formal clinical reviews for high-risk and multi-stressed client profiles across the organisation.
Guide subordinates in executing targeted intervention plans, ensuring safety and care continuity.
Group & Community Work Oversight
Supervise, model, and debrief group work and community development practice for junior team members through direct observations and structured feedback.
Integrate evidence-based practices into community interventions and mental health support frameworks.
Operational & Team Leadership
Function as a Team Lead or Covering Team Lead within the Mental Health Service division.
Ensure team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and service deliverables are met within stipulated timelines as required by funding agencies.
Carry out strategic or operational duties as assigned by the Head of Department and Clinical Supervisor.
Job Requirements
Educational Qualifications & Accreditation
Possess a recognized Degree in Social Work OR a Degree with a Graduate Diploma in Social Work from an accredited institution.
Accreditation as a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with the Singapore Association of Social Workers (SASW) is required.
Relevant Work Experience
Minimum of 4 years of professional experience as a Social Worker in a social service or healthcare setting.
Minimum of 2 years of direct experience in managing crisis interventions and supervising junior social workers/case workers.

Strong leadership, clinical supervision, and mentorship capabilities.
People-oriented with exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
High proficiency in verbal and written English communication, with effective report-writing skills.
Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills to process complex information rapidly, formulate sound clinical decisions, and make strategic recommendations.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable adapting to modern IT platforms and clinical management software.
A collaborative, adaptable, and resilient team player.
