We are seeking a skilled and proactive Infrastructure Engineer to support the operations of enterprise-wide IT systems. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth running and high availability of critical IT services, supporting systems that operate on both UNIX /Linux and Windows platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform configuration, administration, monitoring, and daily maintenance of enterprise applications such as Oracle, MS-SQL, Apache HTTPs, Apache Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere Application Server, Kubernetes, Kafka, and IBM-MQ.
- Collaborate closely with software development, infrastructure, and network teams to deploy and troubleshoot application environments.
- Diagnose and resolve issues across middleware, web, and database layers.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and ensure system optimization.
- Analyze and isolate problems to determine if they are infrastructure or environment related.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of system configurations and operational procedures.
- Manage escalations effectively to ensure SLA adherence and uninterrupted service delivery.
- Follow IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and leverage support tools as part of daily operations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Must be a Singaporean due to G50 security clearance requirements by the client.
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven hands-on experience with both Linux and Windows server environments.
- Strong administrative and implementation expertise in managing Linux and Windows systems.
- Solid knowledge and experience with:
- MS-SQL and Oracle databases
- Middleware solutions such as JBoss, Tomcat, and WebSphere
- Containerization tools like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes
- Previous experience supporting enterprise-level, on-premises systems infrastructure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Self-driven, with a focus on improving operational productivity and efficiency.
- Willingness and ability to work on 12 hour shift (24x7) rotational shift schedule.
